Hey everyone, I just thought I'd take a moment to say "hi". I just stumbled onto this website while searching for something else. But it looks very cool so I thought I'd sign up and hang out.
I've been playing D&D since the good ol' days of the original boxed sets. Since I owned the boxed sets, I became the DM kind of by default. And I've been "stuck" in the DM chair ever since. We started with the Basic and Intermediate boxed set when I was in high school and then we moved onto.. what was it ..expert and then immortals?
I excitedly moved from the boxed sets to AD&D when the first hardback books were released. I wasn't so excited about 2nd Edition, with skills & powers and all of the endless expansions. So when 3rd Edition came out, we were pretty happy to try it out.
But, of course, shortly after we had invested an insane amount of money on 3rd Edition books, they came out with 3.5. That one bugged the crap out of me, and we refused to buy it.
We decided to break-down and buy the new 4th Edition when it came out. We've been playing it for several months now. |
